Farewell,  innovator….

Steven Paul Jobs, or we can call him, Steve Jobs born on February 24th, 1955 at San Francisco, California. He was known as Apple Inc co Founder,  a multibillion company that produce Macintosh, iPod, iPhone and its latest product ,iPad. He was risen by foster parents. His childhood wasn’t really good, but he made it through and successfully become the Most Influent Person in Techonology and also in Film.

On 1st April, 1976, Steve and Woz (Steve Wozniak; Apple Founder) built Apple Computer with the very first product Apple 1. They called it Apple because Steve is like to eat the fruit. On 1984, Steve kicked out from Apple because his bad temperamental leadership according to his employers. But then he made another computer company called NEXT. on 20th December 1996, Apple bought NEXT and that was the time of return for Jobs to Apple Computer Inc.

His first step to save the company was made an cooperation with Apple’s enemy; Microsoft who was still lead by Bill Gates. Bill invested $150 million on Apple and promised to released Microsoft Office for Macintosh. And in return, Apple made Internet Explorer as Apple default browser.

At the same year, Apple released iMac and become a success elegant all in one computer. Jobs leadership successfully made Apple through its hardest time . On 5th January 2000, Apple confirmed Jobs as the CEO permanently.

Steve Jobs has brought Apple as the most powerful Technology company with released some of their success product such as: iPod in Music, iPhone Telecommunication and their latest product iPad in tablet. Jobs is listed as either primary inventor or co-inventor in 338 US patents or patent applications related to a range of technologies from actual computer and portable devices to user interfaces (including touch-based), speakers, keyboards, power adapters, staircases, clasps, sleeves, lanyards and packages.

Jobs announced his resignation from his role as Apple’s CEO on August 24, 2011. In his resignation letter, Jobs wrote that he could “no longer meet duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO”.

Jobs is survived by Laurene, his wife of 20 years, their three children and by Lisa Brennan-Jobs, his daughter from a previous relationship. His family released a statement saying that he “died peacefully”.

Jobs died at his home on October 5, 2011, due to complications from a rare form of Pancreatic Cancer. His death was announced by Apple in a statement which read: “We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today. Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.”

Since October 5, 2011, Apple’s corporate website greeted visitors with a simple page showing Jobs’s name and lifespan next to his grayscale portrait. Clicking on Jobs’s image led to an obituary that read “Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.” An email address was also posted for the public to share their memories, condolences, and thoughts.

A large number of newspapers carried news of his death on the front pages. Statements reacting to Jobs’s death were made by several notable people, including U.S. President Barack Obama, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and The Walt Disney Company’s Bob Iger. Wired News collected reactions and posted them in tribute on their homepage. Other statements of condolences were issued by many of Jobs’ friends and colleagues, such as Steve Wozniak and George Lucas.

At the time of his resignation, and again after his death, he was widely described as a visionary, pioneer and genius perhaps one of the foremost in the field of business,innovation, and product design and a man who had profoundly changed the face of the modern world, revolutionized at least six different industries and who was an “exemplar for all chief executives”. His death was widely mourned and considered a loss to the world by commentators across the globe.

After his resignation as Apple’s CEO, Jobs was characterized as the Thomas Edison and Henry Ford of his time.

Victoria’s Secret

Victoria’s Secret. Siapa yang tidak mengenal Merk Pakaian Dalam Wanita ini? Merk ini digilai oleh seluruh wanita di dunia. Selain karena desainnya yang bagus, juga dikarenakan kampanye produk ini yang luar biasa. Siapa yang mengira bahwa Victoria’s Secret diciptakan oleh seorang pria. Roy Raymond. Pria ini yang membidani lahirnya merk terkenal ini. Ia terinspirasi pada saat membeli pakaian dalam untuk istrinya di sebuah Department Store. Ia membangun toko Victoria’s secret pertamanya di Stanford Shopping Center. Dengan cepat tokonya berkembang diikuti dengan pembukaan 3 toko lain dan penerbitan katalog yang dikirim melalui pos. Toko pakaian dalam yang dibangunnya ini bertujuan memberikan kenyamanan bagi para pria yang berkeinginan membelikan pakaian dalam bagi pasangannya. Toko ini tidak seperti toko pakaian dalam biasa, dengan desain ‘cozy’ dan tidak ada gantungan-gantungan bra di dalam toko, para pria ataupun wanita yang berkunjung ke dalamnya dapat melihat-lihat lebih dulu model yang diinginkan, barulah setelah memilih model yang diinginkan, pramuniaga akan mengambilkan barangnya. Memang sebuah teknik marketing yang hebat. Mengingat para pria agak malas jika diajak ke dalam ‘daerah’ pakaian dalam wanita. *smile* Pada tahun 1982, Roy Raymond menjual Victoria’s Secret kepada perusahaan Limited. Hingga awal tahun 1990, Victoria’s Secret berhasil menjadi salah satu ritailer pakaian dalam terbesar di Amerika Serikat dengan pejualan diatas 1 triliun dollar.

Got Milk? Ads

Got Milk adalah iklan kampanye Amerika yang bertujuan menggalakan minum susu sapi. Iklan Got milk dibuat oleh perusahaan iklan Goodby Silverstain & Partners untuk California Milk Processor Board pada tahun 1993. Slogan ‘Got Milk’ dilisensikan kepada The National Milk Processor Board (MilkPEP) pada tahun 1998 untuk menggunakan selebriti dalam iklan cetak mereka. dimana pada tahun 1995 menggunakan bintang-bintang dari berbagai bidang seperti olahraga, media dan hiburan, seperti karakter fiksi dari tv. The Simpson dan Batman pernah digunakan sebagai iklan cetak untuk olahraga dengan menggunakan slogan ‘Where’s your Mustache?’

Disney: Year of a Million Dreams

Year of a Million Dreams adalah Promo yang diadakan oleh Disney. Promo yang dimulai sejak 1 Oktober 2006 ini seharusnya berakhir hingga 2007, Namun Disney memperpanjang hingga 2008 ini. Promosi ini menekankan pada pengalaman yang tak dapat dibeli oleh uang selama berada di Disney Theme Park. Promo ini sendiri diadakan di Walt Disney World Resort, Florida dan Disneyland Resort di California. Dalam menyambut promo ini, Disney bekerjasama dengan salah satu Photographer ternama, Anna-Lou ‘Annie’ Leibovitz. Salah satu karya Annie adalah foto nude Demo Moore. Dibawah ini adalah foto-foto karya Annie dalam rangka Year of a Million Dreams.
