Can you be at two places at a time? That question might sound silly or ridicilous. But for some reason, it can be. Of course, what i’m talking about is not about twins who have two bodies and born together at the same time. I’m talking about Dopplegänger. Some of you maybe already know or hear about this word. If you a big fans of Vampire Diaries must be familiar about this word. Yes, Elena is Katherine Dopplegänger. Or maybe we can say that Katherine is Elena’s ancestor, they exactly look alike each other. But what is Dopplegänger?

Dopplegänger, is a combination of two German words Dopple (Double) and Gänger (Walker) So it’s Double Walker. Some says Dopplegänger is a living shadow of a person, but not a ghost. Dopplegänger can be seen by a person’s friends and families. Dopplegänger also can interact with them as the real person. It is said that if the owner of Dopplegänger see their Dopplegänger, it will be no time they will die or something bad will happen to them.

Some cases related to Dopplegänger:

• Queen Elisabeth I of England; She was shocked when she saw her Dopplegänger laid out on her bed. The Queen died not long after that moment.
• Abraham Lincoln; After he elected as President of United States, Lincoln saw his own shadow in his living room. He saw his shadow is paler than his, when he try to touch that shadow suddenly it’s gone. A few days after that, his Dopplegänger show another presensce, but it was the last time. Lincoln told his wife that he saw his own shadow twice. • The most fascinating story of Dopplegänger could be Emilie Sagèe; She was a 32 years old french woman. she was a teacher in Pensionat Von Neuwelcke. One day, in the middle of a class, her Dopplegänger appeared beside her. The Dopplegänger precisely copied all Emilie movement in front of the class. This event witnessed by her 13 students in the classroom. And then the most incredible is at 1846 on summer day, the girls was assembled in a school for sewing and embroidery lesson. Emilie was at garden, while the students supervised by other teacher. When the teacher left the classroom to meet the headmistress, Emilie’s Dopplegänger appeared in her chair at the classroom. The students noted that Emilie’s movenment at the garden look tired when Dopplegänger motionless. Two brave girl approached the Dopplegängerand try to touch her but felt an air resistance in the air surrounding it. and then the Dopplegänger dissapeared. Shahar Arzy’s Experiment

In September 2006, Shahar Azry and his colleague in Geneva University Hospital, made an experiment using electromagnetic Stimulation into patient’s brain. The patients were told to lie still in bed, then, they provide electrical stimulation on Temporoparietal Junction (TPJ) in his left brain. When the stimulation was given, the patient could immediately feel the presence of another person in the place. This experiment proves that this phenomenon may be related to disruption of brain activity.

According Arzy, this experiment might explain the hallucinations are often experienced by sufferers Schizoprenia or paranoia. Shahar Arzy or Dr.Brugger explanation may explain Lincoln’s experience, but can not explain the experience of Emilie Sagèe.
